About Us

GO SSLP History

GO SSLP was founded in February 2000 in response to a statewide survey. Since that time, our membership has grown to over 1400 school-based SLPs from school systems across the state of Georgia. Key initiatives focus on caseload size, FTE funding, salary, certification and licensure, member communication, and workshops.

GO SSLP is governed by an Advisory Board. For more information, click here.

Our Mission

The mission of Georgia Organization of School-Based Speech Language Pathologists is to serve Georgia's school-based SLPs by providing professional support, public awareness, and opportunities for professional growth and by being an advocate for school-based SLPs and the individuals they serve.

GO SSLP Executive Office Team

As GO SSLP has grown and matured, we have been able to take a giant step in member services by contracting with a professional association management firm, Association Strategy Group, to work closely with your Advisory Board to run the day-to-day operations of membership and lobbying of the organization. GO SSLP is better able to serve our members with an executive office available full time to respond to you for all member services, including membership issues, conference registration, and financial management.

Everyone in the Executive Office is available to assist you and will be able to respond to your requests or direct them to the appropriate GO SSLP Advisory Board member or committee chair. For Executive Office contact information click here
